i guess i shouldn't be surprised, but i figured when something gets bombed in NYC, it'd be the top story in the news. i had forgotten that the rest of the country doesn't really give a damn about what happens in manhattan. also, though i lament that this will be politicized, i'm wondering how the "we're all safe now" contingent will explain this.
